Is it legit?
Check it out
I would get in pretty deep with some sites before my red flag would go off. For scammers, their sole job is to get your info or your credit card. After scamming hundreds of thousands of people they know what you need to hear to be excited enough to lean in but realistic enough to enter your email then later, enter your card.
My tip: Check out any site that wants your information. Just because it looks legitimate doesn't mean that it is.
This is the world in the 2000's and money rules so view all these results with blinders off. All of the sites listed here earn money in some part from people who get bad ratings paying to have some or all of those ratings removed or buried or sprinkled with fairy dust, I really don't know. What I do know is that I was much less jaded before I started creating this page.
I'm going to end the list with the most trustworthy but least likely to show website results, The Better Business Bureau. I say most trustworthy because it's been around since 1912 and I genuinely believe it's intent is for good but it too needs to earn money so any business that applies (pays for) Accreditation probably gets at least a bit of favoritism.
The BBB search is old school and prefers company name and address but sometimes works with just a web address.
